My name is Ashley Nicholson and I am a senior in the class of 2015 at Joplin High School in Joplin, Mo. I am an active student inside and outside of my school. I have been on the varsity cheer team, varsity speech and debate, and currently serve as president of Key Club. I believe that an integral component to success is being involved in your community. This idea has driven me to donate over 500 hours of service to my community over the course of my high school career. I have even been given the opportunity to intern at a local nonprofit known as Art Feeds. I have attended various leadership training conferences all around the United States as well. These components have allowed me to discover my passion to continue my work in both leadership and nonprofit organizations. In order to fulfill my goals, I plan to attend the University of Kansas in the fall of 2015. I hope to obtain a Management & Leadership B.S.B. degree. After graduation, my goal is to work as a director of a nonprofit organization. Click the button below to view a career summary of a social or community service manager.
